Follow the artist’s creative process, starting with sketches, notes, photographs and other reference material. He begins by immersing himself into the subject’s history, drawing multiple sketches and taking photos for reference. When he’s satisfied with the final pencil drawing, Santoleri begins small color studies to set his palette. At this point he begins painting.
