St. Thomas was an Augustinian monk and Archbishop in the 16th Century in Villanova, Spain. When the Augustinian order opened their second educational institution, they dedicated it to him, naming it Villanova College. The church, St. Thomas of Villanova, began in 1883 to serve the needs of the students, and the local immigrants who were working on the estates surrounding the campus. This beautiful stone building, a university landmark, inspired Santoleri, a former stone mason, to create a second watercolor painting.
This limited edition print, signed and numbered by the artist, reproduced from the original watercolor of the same name, using the highest quality craftsmanship and printing on fine neutral pH balanced paper.
