Built around 1850 along the banks of the Wissahickon Creek, the Valley Green Inn quickly became a favorite stop for travelers. It was equally enticing to Philadelphians who came to sit by the river and enjoy the beautiful country setting. Today, Valley Green is still a favorite place to escape from the clamor of the city, to have a a good meal, to feed the ducks or take a peaceful stroll.
