As an artist, I have used photography as one of the initial steps in developing an art project. Sometimes I take hundreds of pictures of a scene, or location so that I have the most complete information for the composition of my artwork. The digital photographs allow me to zoom in to get the exacting detail for my images that can’t always be captured when painting on site. The only thing I was missing was an aerial view…and then along came drones, and this last perspective became possible.

I now have my third drone and am constantly amazed at the expanse and quality of the photos it can take. I get a whole different view of the countryside and landscapes from hundreds of feet in the air.  The drone allows me to get a panorama of the entire scene, or just hone in on one aspect of building for great detail.

With my artist eye, and years of working with imaging programs such as Photoshop, I have become an expert at taking original photos, and editing color, lighting, and composition.

I am a Certified FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot and have started a part-time business in drone photography.

My Qualifications:

  • Certified FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot (July 2018) – Licensed and insured
  • With three drones in my fleet and an assistant (spotter), we have the sky cameras to make your project shine!
  • Since 1998, I am highly skilled in Adobe Photoshop and have taught students in advanced color correction and composition.
