Pencil Portraits have always been a passion of mine. The Idea that a pencil and paper is available to almost everyone gives me a special feeling about working with it. Pure tonal value and the ability to erase till your heart is content is another plus. Before I  start most painted portraits I do a pencil study. Some times. like some black and white photo, I feel that I could do no better in a painting and Stop at a pencil portrait.
