I encountered Ross at the Hickman in West Chester, PA a number of years ago. Ross, a golden retriever, was the house dog at the Hickman, beloved by the residents there. In this memorial portrait of Ross, I hope I have captured the essential spirit that made him, and others of his breed, so popular and well loved.
