A picture really is worth a thousand words, which is why sometimes only a picture can adequately capture the love between two people. An artistic pencil rendering captures feelings in a way words cannot convey. Nick’s recent pencil drawing of Matt Parmet and his fiancée Alice, catches their embrace on the Lambertville bridge in New Hope, the moment they got engaged, with Philadelphia’s City Hall and The Russian Orthodox Cathedral in the background, in tribute to their two respective birthplaces. A ribbon flanks the drawing, containing three of the couple’s most important dates; when they met, got engaged, and were married. In order to create the scene, Matt simply provided Nick with a photograph and some sentimental background information on the couple. Six weeks later, Matt surprised Alice with a gift that will grace the couple’s home for years to come.
