“The Gate” implies that we are standing at the gate then walking through to brighter times ahead. Note the darker tones prior to crossing the gate with brightness beyond it displaying a church along the pathway and a very small yet familiar portion of “The Creation” by Michelangelo in the tree limbs beyond the gate. This drawing is printed on acid free 100% Bristol Velum and it mats in a standard size mat opening and therefore a standard size frame (framing instructions). It is reproduced from the original pencil drawing “The Gate”. The size of the original is 16" x 14". | |
